Professor and activist Mirjana Najceska speaks on the fear of people to voice their opinion:
It is terrible to have to speak, after so many years and so many conducted elections, about fair, democratic and free elections. It is also terrible when the Prime Minister tells you that the citizens, namely, the people, will go out and say what they intend to say – at the elections. It is very bad when the government does not understand that we have come to this situation, precisely because people cannot say what they want to say because they are afraid…
Because they do not know they are allowed to say it, or because they have been saying and saying and nothing has happened and think there is no use from saying anything, they are, therefore, starting to give up the use of their fundamental rights.
