After the coalition briefing held yesterday with Prime Minister Zoran Zaev regarding the entry of Alternative in the Government, the guest in today’s morning briefing was Menduh Thaci from DPA, writes Sloboden Pecat.
– When contracts are made, everyone interprets the contract as he wants. It is important for me to know that the Albanians do not win, and the Macedonians do not lose positions. Some say that Alternative took many places, but that is not true. We are far from the percentage agreed in the Ohrid Agreement. “We now have a stable government and stable institutions,” Thaci told the Morning Briefing.
Thaci says that it seems that Zaev intends to leave the position, but that will depend on the situation with Bulgaria and its development. He expects the government majority to reach 70 lawmakers soon.
– Taravari and his party now have three years to consolidate because they have only the Left left. Chapters will now be opened and for that it is important to have a stable Government. “I expect the Alliance to slowly disappear from the political scene, and I expect the DPA to return, because I was the XNUMXth MP a month ago,” Thaci said.
Thaci says that DPA and DUI have proven that they are not incidental parties but stable. Zaev has long been the driving force of the coalition, and if a new prime minister comes with the change of the president of SDSM.
– That’s good. Governments that have no problems quickly become autocratic. I do not believe that Zaev will resign in the next few months because we have very difficult questions ahead of us. “I believe that if we reach the opening of chapters, the situation will relax,” Thaci said.
According the problem with Bulgaria Thaci says that foreign forces are involved to help our government.
“If we do not resolve this now, it will take years,” Thaci said, given that France would take over the EU presidency from January 1, and President Macron’s position on enlargement was known.
Thaci says that there will be no special personnel changes in the institutions because it takes us back to some other partisan times. He believes that DUI is starting to lose power and that we must not build parallel societies.
– We see that Bosnia is becoming dysfunctional precisely because of such things, because of parties and nationalism. “We should avoid that,” Thaci told the Morning Briefing.
