The Ministry of Health said Monday that in the past 24 hours, 30 confirmed coronavirus patients have been admitted in the COVID centers in Skopje due to virus complications.
A total of 497 confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients are being treated at the infectious disease wards in the hospitals in the capital.
In the past 24 hours, a total of 15 patients have been admitted at the internal clinics, of which one at the Nephrology Clinic, three at the Institute for Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis, three at the Dermatovenerology Clinic, six at the Otorhinolaryngology Clinic, and two at the Ophthalmology Clinic.
Moreover, 6 patients were admitted at the COVID center within the Skopje City General Hospital ‘8 September’ and 9 at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases, the press release reads.
In the past 24 hours, 13 recovered coronavirus patients were discharged from hospitals.
Twenty-seven patients are currently being treated at the COVID center within the Dermatology Clinic, 30 at the Neurology Clinic, another 50 at the Institute for Lung Diseases and Tuberculosis, 25 at the Nephrology Clinic, 20 patients at the Ophthalmology Clinic, 24 at the Otorhinolaryngology Clinic and 26 at the Gastroenterohepatology Clinic.
There are 107 patients at the “8 September” hospital, 145 patients at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases and 43 patients at the Institute of Respiratory Diseases in Children-Kozle.
A total of 497 confirmed and suspected COVID-19 patients are being treated at the infectious disease wards in the hospitals in the capital. Many of them are on oxygen support.
“Despite the surge in hospitalizations on Sunday, there were about 30 hospital beds available until 8 am on Monday, and more are expected to become available during the day at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases and the ‘8 September’ hospital as recovered patients are discharged,” reads the press release.
