NEWS OF THE DAY: Witnesses have showed that the protests “For United Macedonia” had been directly organized by VMRO-DPMNE
Today Mihail Mladenovski and the official responsible for system and voting in the Parliament, Sashko Kocevski, testified at the Criminal Court hearing for the events that took place on 27 events.
Prosecutor Vilma Ruskoska, following the hearing, stated that Mladenovski’s testimony shows the involvement of a political party, but also of police structures, namely, structures of
the then Administration for Security and Counterintelligence. From Kocevski’s testimony, on the other hand, two aspects can be concluded.
“First, that the protests under the motto “For United Macedonia” had been organized directly by the political party VMRO-DPMNE, and that also it was not so much about whether Zekiri Ibrahimi or someone else should have been given a word, as much as that I was interested, that is I wanted the public and the court to hear that at that moment Trajko Veljanovski could have turned off the screen at the podium when then MP Zekiri Ibrahimi had started singing the Albanian anthem”, explained Ruskoska.

FLASH NEWS
To take advantage of the easing of the coronavirus and the stabilization of the pandemic and to have elections in mid-June, is the position of the political party presidents of the SDSM led coalition “We Can”, that was reached a yesterday’s meeting at the headquarters of the party. The position will be presented at the leaders’ meeting that will be held tomorrow with President Stevo Pendarovski.
*
Opposition party VMRO-DPMNE on the other hand, still thinks that the elections are not the first priority at the moment. The President of the party, Hristijan Mickoski, stated that they are for elections this summer, but for elections that won’t endanger the lives of the citizens. The first and basic priority for VMRO-DPMNE, he says, is the health of the citizens, and only then can there be discussions on setting a date for the elections that will enable fair and democratic presenting of the political platform.

“We are not for postponement, but for elections at a real time because we are all aware that this entire process is complicated in a situation when Parliament has been dissolved, when the government is temporary and we have said that health experts should give their position on
the conditions for holding elections. There are institutions that are competent to say that, and we are ready as a political party”, stated Teuta Arifi for Morning Briefing.
