Slavjanka Petrovska, MP in SDSM, former Deputy Minister of Interior in the technical government, has been nominated for Minister of Defense, for the current Minister of Interior – the current Oliver Sapsovski, for Minister of Justice prof. Dr. Nikokla Tupancevski from the Faculty of Law in Skopje, for Minister of Agriculture Ljupco Nikolovski, who previously headed this department.

For Minister of Labor and Social Policy – Jovana Trenchevska – Director of the State Labor Inspectorate. for Minister of Culture Bisera Kostadinova-Stojcevska, current MP of SDSM and previously professor at the Faculty of Pedagogy at the University of Bitola. The current Blagoj Bochvarski has been nominated for Minister of Transport and Communications.

From all of them, as Kovacevski said, he expects maximum dedicated work in the interest of the citizens and fulfillment of the promise.

He announced that he will submit the position of the Government and the government program to the Parliament today.

– The new government will be highly productive in its work, committed to economic challenges, as well as to strengthening the living standards of citizens. We set really high goals, but I am sure that with a lot of work and effort we can achieve them, said Kovacevski last night.

The President of the Assembly, Talat Xhaferi, in his final annual statement at the end of December, announced that if the proposal for a new government arrives by January 11, in consultation with the parliamentary groups, he will set a date for the session, which would probably be January 15-16. He added that he expects the new Government to be elected at 16 pm, before midnight, and for it to be operational on January 24, 17.

Pursuant to the Law on Government, the Government elects and dismisses the Assembly of the Republic of Macedonia by a majority vote of the total number of Representatives. When proposing the composition of the Government, the prime minister-designate proposes ministers for each of the ministries determined by law and ministers without portfolio. The government takes office on election day.
