I don’t want to take the spot of colleagues that work directly with coronavirus patients. I’ll get vaccinated once other batches arrive, Health Minister Venko Filipche told reporters on Wednesday.
The Minister stressed that vaccines are safe and are the only way to reach herd immunity.
“Health workers are aware of the importance of immunization. I’ll get inoculated to prove that vaccines are safe and are the only way to reach herd immunity and change the situation with the pandemic,” Filipche said after the start of vaccination of medical workers at the Skopje-based modular hospital.
He added that he’ll get vaccinated once other batches arrive to show citizens that it’s the right move.
“I don’t want to take the spot of colleagues that work directly with coronavirus patients. I’ll get vaccinated once other batches arrive to show citizens that it’s the right move,” the Minister added.
Moreover, Filipche told reporters that one vaccine vial contains six doses.
“According to the manufacturer’s recommendations, one vaccine vial, when diluted, can be used to immunize six people. These are the instructions given to medical workers,” Filipche noted.
