The Freedom Festival organized by CIVIL, on the occasion of the International Human Rights Day, organizes a panel discussion “Pandemic and Infodemic”, on December 1, starting at 3 pm in the Park Park Residence, Skopje.
The coronavirus COVID-19, which has been described as a global pandemic, is causing tension around the world. The possibility of creating and distributing false news and misinformation in this period remains great. Some news in some cases are maliciously placed, to create confusion among citizens.
The list of speakers in the panel includes Jasna Bachovska, University Professor, Elida Zulbeari, Editor of Portalb, Filip Stojanovski from Metamorphosis, Flaka Polozhani, Special Advisor for Media and Broadcasting at MISA and Petrit Saracini, Media Expert and part of CIVIL. The panel discussion will be moderated by Dehran Muratov.
The discussion will be organized through the Zoom platform, part of which will be with physical presence and will last for a maximum of 1 hour and 20 minutes. The panel will be broadcast live on the Facebook page of CIVIL, and contents of the discussion will be published later through other media platforms of CIVIL Media.
