NEWS OF THE DAY: Crisis situation ends in Debar and Zhupa, no newly infected cases for 10 days
After 10 days have passed without any new coronavirus cases and after 30 days of declaring a crisis situation, as of yesterday the same measures apply to the municipalities of Debar and Centar Zhupa as in the rest of the country.
The Government of the Republic of North Macedonia, upon the proposal of the Main coordination crisis headquarters, cancelled all additional measures that were in force for the territory of the two mentioned municipalities according to the action plan prepared on March 13, 2020, that is, the crisis situation in those two municipalities.
The Director of the Crisis Management Center, Argon Buxhaku, said that from an epidemiological aspect, the introduction of a crisis situation in Debar and Zhupa has contributed for there to be no new coronavirus cases in the past 10 days.

“Today we can send a strong message of encouragement, not only to the citizens of Debar and Centar Zhupa, but also to the citizens of the Republic of North Macedonia, that we know how, can and are able to manage in such difficult moments”, said Prime Minister Oliver Spasovski from Debar.
He added that the citizens of these two municipalities were in quarantine for 30 days and with restrictions on movement due to the health crisis.
“The citizens deserve every commendation and acknowledgement for their discipline and dedication to the fight against the coronavirus, and that shows that with dedication, discipline and caution and perseverance, which every one of us has, we can help both ourselves and our families and the country”, said Spasovski.

54 new cases of COVID-19 have been registered, 6 patients have died and 42 patients have recovered. Four patients over the age of 60 died at the Clinic of Infectious Diseases in Skopje, of which two from Labunista, one from Prilep and one from Kumanovo. Two patients died at the “September 8” City Hospital in Skopje, a 67-year-old patient from Veles and a 59-year-old patient from Kumanovo, informed the Ministry of Health.

The Kumanovo Crisis Headquarters today proposed to the Government to put the city in a 14-day controlled quarantine and to introduce a crisis situation.

With the organized flight for repatriation of Macedonian citizens stranded in Italy, today 152 Macedonian citizens have returned and they will spend 21 days in state quarantine.

The first test of the four-member family from Gevgelia that was infected with COVID-19 was performed yesterday, confirmed the Regional Unit of the Public Health Center in Gevgelia, and no new cases of infected patients have been registered in the past ten days.
