CIVIL is monitoring the events in the Middle East with utmost concern, following the attack by the Hamas terrorist organization in Israel and the war that broke out on October 7. Israel has responded to this terrorist act with fierce daily bombings of the Gaza Strip and brutal raids in the West Bank, with horrible victims among civilians.
According to UN reports, in 27 days, from October 7 to November 2, 9,061 Palestinians have been killed, including at least 3,648 children and 2.187 women, while around 22,240 have been injured.
CIVIL repeats the call for an immediate ceasefire and full and unhindered opening of all routes for humanitarian aid to the suffering population in the Gaza Strip.
CIVIL most strongly and unequivocally condemns the Hamas terrorist attack in Israel, where more than 1,400 people were brutally killed, including women and children, and more than 245 people, including foreign citizens, were kidnapped.
Hamas is responsible for war crimes and kidnapping, with which any claim that it fights for rights and justice has been debunked, but rather it is a brutal terrorist organization and nothing more.
CIVIL continues with the condemnation and protest to the Israeli government, which is responsible for non-selective bombing and killing of civilians, destroying critical civil infrastructure, exodus of more than one million people under the threat of heavy fire, and calls for facilitation and aid in supplying two million people with food, fuel, electricity, water, and medicine.
The claims of the Israeli government that it is waging a war against the Hamas terrorist organization are not in accordance with the bombing of innocent civilians, of which children, women, people with disabilities and the elderly suffer the most, which is a war crime, and many elements point to genocide. It is an unacceptable policy and deserves the highest condemnation.
CIVIL repeats, and will continue to call for peace and reconciliation, protection of human rights and respect for international law on protection of the population in conditions of war. The massacre must stop and give way to dialogue!
