NEWS OF THE DAY: Election of new and senior prosecutors
At today’s session of the Council of Public Prosecutors, prosecutor Fatime Fetai, Burim Rustemi, Sasho Rajchev, Naum Panovski and Snezhana Bundalevska – Georgievska were elected as prosecutors to the Higher Prosecutor’s Office Skopje. Prosecutors Fetai and Rustemi are from the former Special Public Prosecutor’s Office, Panovski comes from the Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption, whereas Rajchev and Bundalevska-Georgievska from the Public Prosecutor’s Office Skopje.
The Council of Prosecutors at today’s session elected Lile Stefanova, Artan Ajro, Trajce Pelivanov, Natasa Pop Trajkova and Katerina Kolarevic for public prosecutors in the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office for Prosecution of Organized Crime and Corruption.
STATEMENT OF THE DAY Hodzic, AERC: We will use all of our mechanisms for cooperation and coordination with the competent institutions to improve the interethnic relations in Kocani
“The Agency for Exercising the Rights of Communities (AERC), despite not having direct legal competencies for such cases, will use all of its mechanisms for cooperation and coordination with the competent institutions, with the purpose to overcome the existing situation and to improve the interethnic relations in Kocani. Additionally, we inform you that as AERC we are actively cooperating with the critical NGOs of the less-numbered communities. For the particular case, during this week, we will have a meeting also with some of the NGOs working on the realization, promotion and protection of the rights of the Roma”, stated Xhelal Hodzic, Deputy Director of the Agency for Exercising the Rights of Communities for CIVIL in regards to the case with the child beaten in Trajanovo Trlo in Kocani.

REACTION The Ministry of Education and Science is reacting to the press conference of the political party VMRO-DPMNE, from where they continue to express falsehoods related to the changes in the education system that were supposed to happen very long time ago, including also in the time when this political party managed the institutions of the system.
EDUCATION The National platform for electronic enrolment of first graders has been promoted. The enrolment is in May, as in previous years, but this year parents will not have to come to the schools, but rather will submit the documents for their children online through the national platform for electronic enrolment for first graders.
DEMAND The SCPC at today’s session proposed to the Public Prosecutor’s Office to take all investigative actions, to provide all necessary evidence, to determine all relevant facts and to make a lawful and fair public-prosecutor decision in relation to the realization of the Detailed Urban Plan “Big ring” and the competent authorities in the period from 2013 – 2017 for abuse of their official position and overstepping the limits of their official authorization.
CELEBRATING April 22 is Earth Day, an international event celebrated across the world for advocating support for environmental protection. 2021 marks the 51 anniversary of the annual celebrations. The topic this year for Earth Day is “Bring back our planet”.

CIVIL today continued with the video production of messages of famous figures, as part of the Initiative “Make a difference, Respect diversity”. CIVIL’s team today was at the set with actor Pero Arsovski, in a superb and productive atmosphere in the City Park in Skopje.
