MP’s of the ruling majority have announced that today before noon they will submit the initiative for announcing the referendum on the name to the President of the Parliament, Talat Xhaferi. According to information from the SDSM parliamentary group, their MP’s have already collected the signatures for the initiative for announcing a referendum, with signatures of DUI and BESA MP’s also. After the coordination of VMRO-DPMNE’s parliamentary group finishes, the initiative will be offered to them as well.

Members of the State Election Commission (SEC) today gave Solemn Statements before the President of the Assembly Talat Xhaferi. Oliver Derkovski is President of the Commission, Dimitrie Shehu is Vice-President, while Elizabeta Postolovska, Boris Kondarko, Janake Vitanovski, Radica Risteska and Enver Saliu are members.

The session of the Parliamentary Foreign Affairs Committee, at which the Minister of Foreign Affairs Nikola Dimitrov was to report on the implementation of the international policy, has been rescheduled for August 1.
