In relation to the challenges that are present in the fight against Covid-19, in an interview for TV Sitel, Zaev said, “The main problem in our country is the number of doctors and nurses. I take my hat off to them, because in all the reports I receive from the hospitals and from the Minister, you can see that they are leading a heroic struggle. We must not forget that we need to reward these people now, and continuously. That is why we will be giving two salaries to all those health workers working on Covid-19”.
The curfew does not give results, though if necessary it will be introduced, says Prime Minister Zoran Zaev. He hopes that the new measures will give results. The Prime Minister adds that although casinos and sports betting venues are not included in the measures for the working hours to be until 9.00 pm, the ban on groups does still apply to them, which is sufficient protection against the spread of Covid-19.
Zaev claims that the country will withstand the economic consequences of the corona crisis.
