North Macedonia did its part, now it’s time for EU to deliver, because any other decision will undermine the Union’s credibility in the Western Balkans, tweeted Prime Minister Zoran Zaev after a meeting with Miroslav Lajčák, EU Special Representative for the Belgrade-Pristina Dialogue, in Brussels on Sunday.
PM Zaev’s visit to Brussels includes meetings with European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen, European Parliament President David Sassoli, EU High Representative Josep Borrell, EC Executive Vice-President Frans Timmermans, and Enlargement and Neighborhood Commissioner Oliver Varhelyi, the Government said in a press release.
Zaev will also meet Foreign Minister Augusto Santos Silva of Portugal, the country holding the EU Presidency.
In addition, the PM is scheduled to meet with Members of European Parliament Dacian Ciolos, Chair of the Renew Europe Group and Ilhan Kyuchyuk, North Macedonia Rapporteur.
