Prime Minister Zoran Zaev said as of Tuesday, the government starts appointing directors of the state-run institutions.
He revealed that DUI’s Ejup Rustemi will be named Director of the Public Enterprise for State Roads.
“Some of the decisions will be made today, including decisions for issuing ads because there are institutions whose head is selected through an ad. There will be also decisions to outline precise guidelines to the government-elected managing and supervisory boards on nominating heads,” Zaev told reporters after the international scholarly conference on Macedonian language.
The PM said the process is expected to be completed in 10-15 days’ time.
Speaking to reporters, Zaev said the government at today’s session will discuss the motion on dismissing the head of the National Agency for European Educational Programmes and Mobility, Lidija Dimova.
There are enough arguments for dismissing Dimova on ‘ethnical grounds’, according to him.
Asked to comment on the call of Alliance for Albanians’s Arben Taravari for the formation of a wide technical government in a response to the COVID-19 pandemic, PM Zaev said that every proposal is worth discussing. However, he noted, I believe the current government has enough capacity to handle the challenges.
