Prime Minister Zoran Zaev and former mayor of Thessaloniki, politician and businessman Yiannis Boutaris during their meeting on Thursday concluded that mutual cooperation and support between North Macedonia and Greece on building joint capacities for access and use of EU funds, especially those related to regional cooperation is of great importance.
At the meeting, it was emphasized that the first Skopje Economic Forum, at which Boutaris took part on Wednesday, is extremely important as a platform for connecting regional and international political leaders, ambassadors, entrepreneurs, prominent personalities from different social spheres, the government said in a press release.
Zaev and Boutaris agreed that it is of special importance that the forum included precisely selected topics that focus on the most crucial issues affecting North Macedonia, neighbouring countries and the region, especially in terms of sustainable and successful bilateral economic and regional cooperation and development.
As one of the most successful businessmen in the wine industry in Greece and in the region, Boutaris briefed Prime Minister Zaev on the new initiatives he presented in our country for which some of the largest domestic wine producers showed interest.
The first Skopje Economic Forum which took place on Wednesday, was organized by the Delphi Economic Forum, in association with the Hellenic Business Association in North Macedonia and in partnership and cooperation with domestic companies.
