Unless no confidence in the government is voted, there can be no voting again on this issue in the next 90 days, stated last night parliament speaker Talat Xhaferi in Click Plus.
– The procedures are clear. There is a session scheduled for Thursday. The session has to have an epilogue. The epilogue could be, no confidence is voted – the government falls, no confidence is not voted – the government doesn’t fall. After that, there can be no voting of no confidence again in the next 90 days. That is why a deadline of 90 days is given, said Xhaferi.
The procedure, as he pointed out, has started and he explained that if the request for voting no confidence in the government is withdrawn now, then there is no right to a request a vote of no confidence in the next 90 days.
The session for the vote of confidence in the government is scheduled for Thursday at 11.00 am.
According to Xhaferi, the Prime Minister and leader of SDSM, Zoran Zaev, did a good thing by not withdrawing from the positions.
– I say this as part of the current majority. He should not be guided by momentary emotions. He should coordinate and continue to lead the institutions. He should not make emotional decisions, he has a responsibility to lead the Government, the institutions should function normally. This is turning back. We are making one step forward and two steps back, said Xhaferi.
