The Macedonian economy is projected to grow 3.6% in 2021 and 3.5% in 2022, according to a latest report of the World Bank.
According to World Bank projections for the countries in the region, GDP in 2021 will grow 5.1% in Albania, 2.8% in BiH, 3.3% in Bulgaria, 5.4% in Croatia, 3.7% in Kosovo, 6.1% in Montenegro and 3.1% in Serbia.
According to Global Economic Prospects, of the countries in the region in 2022, Albania is projected to have GDP growth of 4.4%, BiH 3.5%, Bulgaria 3.7%, Croatia 4.2%, Kosovo 4.9%, Montenegro 3.9%, and Serbia 3.4%.
Growth in the Western Balkans, according to the World Bank, is expected to accelerate at 3.5% in 2021 as consumers start restoring trust in businesses and political instability starts to subdue.
