A website to register for COVID-19 vaccine will be in operation starting Wednesday and literally everyone will be able to register, Health Minister Venko Filipche said Tuesday.
The system, he said, will generate on its own priority groups. “It means it will accept data even for younger people without chronic diseases who want to be vaccinated and they will be notified when they should go to receive the vaccine,” the Minister said explaining that people can register only once by clicking links on the website.
Asked how the Health Ministry can keep an eye on whether family physicians have contacted their patients, Filipche said a confirmation that the patients want to get vaccinated will be returned via the Moj Termin e-appointment system.
“We have the exact list. We’re already discussing the other group of priority citizens, namely those over 70, who are also included in the first stage of vaccination. After being contacted by the family physician, the Moj Termin system saves the registration for vaccines. It is followed by a schedule involving time and station according to the proximity of the residence,” Minister Filipche explained speaking to reporters after a visit to the Bit Pazar polyclinic, where the COVID-19 vaccines will be stored.
Health workers will be the first to receive the shots once they arrive in the country.
“Now, we are focused on health workers. Once it is launched, we are prepared to upgrade the vaccination system. We are open to other options and we have seen examples from other countries,” he stated.
