As of Wednesday, the citizens are able to register for COVID-19 vaccine via the website https://vakcinacija.mk/, which was officially launched.
Health Minister Venko Filipche said Tuesday that everyone will be able to apply for vaccination and the system will generate the priority groups.
The citizens were able to apply for COVID-19 vaccinations by filling in an online form by entering personal data – name and surname, social security number, telephone number, e-mail address, as well as choosing a vaccination site.
In addition to online COVID-19 vaccine registration, the sign up will be possible via family physicians on the Moj Termin e-appointment system.
The health authorities have specified how the vaccination process will be carried out.
The plan is to vaccinate 880 people per day in all polyclinics in the Health Center in Skopje and nearly 500 people in the vaccination site in the Clinical Center in Skopje.
The first phase of vaccination will involve frontline healthcare workers and seniors aged 70 and above.
So far, 4,000 healthcare workers have been registered and will receive the shots once they arrive in the country.
200,000 COVID-19 vaccines produced by China’s pharmaceutical company Sinopharm are expected to arrive by end of this month. Prime Minister Zoran Zaev expressed hope that North Macedonia will get the Pfizer vaccines next week. COVID-19 vaccine from AstraZeneca through the COVAX facility in the country in March.
