“We want them in the European Union, we are one European family. We share the same history, we share the same values, and I’m deeply convinced we share the same destiny too,” said von der Leyen.
She pointed out that EU members support the integration of the Western Balkans, because they know it’s good both for the Western Balkans and for the EU.
“We have common interests and together we can develop better. The integration of the Western Balkans into the common market must move forward. My message to the Western Balkans is – we want you in the EU, keep up the reform,” said the EC President.
