The opposition party VMRO-DPMNE submitted Thursday in Parliament a draft-resolution on defining the Macedonian state positions regarding the EU integration process and the blockades on its EU path.
The draft-resolution, which has been distributed to all lawmakers, has been put forward in order to be passed with wide consensus, said VMRO-DPMNE MP Antonio Miloshoski.
“We believe the draft-resolution will strengthen the Macedonian diplomatic positions all the while serving as a factor of unity to eliminate polarization in the Macedonian society,” Miloshoski said speaking to the media on Thursday.
He called on all lawmakers from the ruling majority and the opposition, including those from SDSM, LDP, Levica, AA/Alternativa, DOM, DS, “to sign the resolution today” so as to show their endorsement of the document aimed to define the Macedonian state positions regarding the EU integration process and “not to allow blockades and national humiliation to become subject of negotiations sometime in the future.”
“We expect Parliament Speaker Talat Xhaferi as soon as possible to put the document on the agenda of a plenary session where we can vote for it and demonstrate wide political consensus,” Miloshoski said.
A simple majority is needed for the resolution to pass in Parliament.
