Slovenian firefighters this morning left Berovo and saluted the people of Berovo with a loud signal. In honour of those who tirelessly fought the fierce fires that engulfed the Maleshevo region the previous days, they were given certificates of appreciation from Mayor Pakevski, along with Macedonian wine and modest gifts, reported Frontline a report from Malesh.net.
The regional commander of the firefighters from Slovenia, Mocnik, for the portal Malesh Net expressed great gratitude for the hospitality of our people, stressing that everyone is positively surprised from the people of Maleshevo, from our care for them.
– We have not seen such good people anywhere, we would like to stay here more because we feel like home, but our next mission awaits us and we have to return. We all promise that we will come again, but this time for something good, as tourists. Take care of your wonderful forests that you have and all of you take care of them – added Mocnik.
