European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen with a tweet in Macedonian language, on her official Twitter account says:
“The future of your country is in the European Union, while Europe is not complete without North Macedonia. We want you in the EU! Thank you.
“There can be no doubt that the Macedonian language is your language,” she said, insisting the proposal respects national identity.
“Do the right thing for the peace and prosperity of North Macedonia, a soon-to-be member of the European Union,” von der Leyen said. “The future of your country is in the European Union. And Europe is not complete without North Macedonia,” said Von der Leyen during her speech at the Parliament of the Republic of North Macedonia.
