Ukraine has filled in the second part of the questionnaire to acquire the status of a candidate country for EU accession, Ukrinform writes.

President of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelensky wrote on his Telegram channel that he had shown a completed document to European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during a video call.

“Meeting with President of the European Commission Ursula von der Leyen via video link. I showed the second part of the completed questionnaire for Ukraine’s candidate status for EU accession. Thank you for clear signals of support on the path important to us,” the President of Ukraine stressed.

As reported, on April 18, President Zelensky handed over the completed first part of the questionnaire to Head of the EU Delegation to Ukraine Matti Maasikas. The questionnaire was given to the Ukrainian side personally by European Commission President Ursula von der Leyen during her visit to Kyiv on April 8.

Zelensky signed the application for Ukraine’s membership in the European Union on February 28, 2022.
