“In this interview, you can meet Kateryna who left Kyiv and is now in Germany. She tells us how she said goodbye to her father, who is still fighting in Ukraine, and what mothers in Ukraine like to call their newborns since the war.
Just three months ago, when I was in Ukraine with the Media Dialogue project – a network of journalists, artists and academics from Armenia, Belarus, Ukraine, Germany and Moldova, funded by the Auswärtiges Amt – I held a podcast workshop both in Lviv and Kyiv and had the chance to meet lovely young, dedicated students and excellent aspiring journalists.
Now I have met these wonderful people again – via Zoom. Exactly two weeks after the war began, on Thursday, I conducted interviews, personal conversations, to listen and to find out what they have been through and how they are doing.”
