The Turkish company Pürplast which has 40 years’ experience in the automotive industry and exports its products to 36 countries worldwide, during the second half of 2021 will open its new plant in TIRZ Skopje 2, in North Macedonia, where it will invest €5.1 million. Initially, it will employ 40 to 50 people.
This was announced yesterday in Government of North Macedonia’s press conference, when an agreement for state subsidies for this investment was signed.
‘I want to greet the agility of Pürplast’s management who have already surpassed the minimal sum of the investment writen in the business plan, which was €4 million and so far they invested €5.1 million in the plant at Bunardzik. For start, employment of 40-50 persons is planned. I hope that all conditions will be accomplished and the development plans will continue, and these predict investments of €12 million and 215 jobs,” stressed the Deputy Prime Minister in Charge of Economic Affairs, Fatmir Bytyqi.
This investment started in 2019, with the preparatory works on the plot on the 1st of July 2020 and during a period of 7 and a half months, 75% of the facilities were completed. Pürplast has leased 26,266m² and during the first phase, 50% of the land has been used. The second phase is expected to start in 2025.
