London, December 10, 2025 — Marking International Human Rights Day, the Director of the Westminster Alliance for Ukraine (WA4U) formally presented the publication Defending Democracy and Human Rights to the Royal Society of Arts (RSA).
During his visit, Roger Casale met with Ben Fleming, London Fellowship Officer at the RSA, and Anna Bozic, Librarian, to discuss the publication’s relevance for global democratic resilience, civic participation, and Europe’s evolving human-rights landscape.
“Defending democracy is not just a policy priority — it is a moral obligation. Placing this publication in the RSA library strengthens our shared commitment to truth, justice, and human dignity,” Casale said in a brief statement for CIVIL Today.
The publication — a strategic roadmap developed by CIVIL as part of the Defending Democracy Global Initiative (DDGI) — has now been added to the RSA’s library collection. It joins a distinguished body of works consulted by the Society’s more than 30,000 members worldwide, ensuring broader visibility and engagement with the ideas and recommendations it advances.
This marks another important step in building international partnerships and fostering dialogue on safeguarding democracy and human rights in times of rising hybrid threats and geopolitical turbulence.
