Prime Minister Zoran Zaev today stated that he expects Parliament to start working online, as two MPs tested positive in Kovid-19. He believes that the government and the opposition will reach an agreement to work online and it is this way that the Budget will be voted. Zaev informed that the next government session will also be online after the recommendation of the health authorities.
“I believe that the Parliament will immediately switch to the online option, if the deputies so agree, in accordance with the Rules of Procedure. The government will hold the next session online on Tuesday. We still do not have any person with symptoms or infection, but on the recommendation of Minister Venko Filipce and the Committee on Health Protection, we were told that in accordance with the numbers, we should prepare for the online government session. “I believe that the Parliament will also be wise and will decide the work online, since as far as I can see, almost all the parliaments in the region and Europe have done this”, said Zaev.
He stressed that it is very important for the institutions to function, to be smart in order to follow this period same as during the summer, which will not be easy because of the numbers being large.
Zaev said that Minister Filipce informed him that the whole organization was completely successful with the preparations with the reserve doctors, nurses, and that the mounted hospital was slowly starting to function.
