In the coming days, Ukraine will coordinate with Switzerland the date of the first inaugural Peace Summit, as president of Ukraine Volodymyr Zelenskyy said in an interview with the Unified News telethon.
There is currently no list of countries participating in the event, Zelenskyy said. Once the presidents of Ukraine and the Swiss Confederation agree on the summit’s date, invitations will be sent to world leaders.
“We expect 80-100 countries to participate in it. We believe this will be the most powerful summit. A peace summit. Yes, it’s inaugural. But it’s a summit of great significance, which will gather our partners and where we will build a roadmap for further steps towards ending the war,” the president of Ukraine said.
Zelenskyy emphasized that only through joint efforts can the world stop Russia’s aggression. Therefore, the summit will bring together countries from all continents.
The first inaugural Peace Summit based on the Ukraine’s Peace Formula will take place in Switzerland. At the summit, participating countries will develop a joint action plan for a just peace in Ukraine.
