The Commission for Infectious Diseases will hold a meeting today, at which, as announced by the Minister of Health Venko Filipce, the proposals and observations will be heard after the latest analysis of the situation with Covid-19 in the country.

– The epidemiological situation in the country is increasing in newly diagnosed with Covid-19 starting in the period two weeks ago. Analyzes show that the percentage of newly diagnosed cases last year compared to the previous week increased by 25 percent. The P0 transmission factor is also growing from 1,05 to 1,14, which is a clear indicator that now there will be a change in the relatively stable epidemiological situation that we had in the previous long period of time, said Filipce.

According to him, new restrictive measures are not needed, it is enough to follow the protocols and increase the vaccination rate.

– We are in continuous communication with the members of the Commission during the period when the situation was calm. Apart from exchanging information, the need for a formal meeting was also evaluated. There will be a meeting on Friday according to the new analysis. In terms of measures, we will hear suggestions and insights. I think that preventive measures should continue and the percentage of vaccination should be increased. “We have sent a letter to all GPs to call their unvaccinated patients,” Filipce said.

One of the main criteria for introducing new measures, he said, will be the risk in hospital facilities, which has not been recorded yet. – The scope of vaccination is crucial. That and the observance of the preventive measures and protocols are the way out of the crisis, added Filipce.

As of November 9, as informed by the Ministry of Health, a total of 811 citizens were vaccinated, 226 were revaccinated, and 782.460 citizens received a third dose. Fifty-four percent of citizens over the age of 48 have been vaccinated, and 087 percent of the population aged 40 to 33 have received at least one dose of the vaccine. The coverage with one-dose vaccination of the adult population is 18 percent, and two-dose coverage covers 39 percent of citizens over 57 years. According to the number of vaccines applied, 46% of the entire population in the country has been vaccinated, and 18% have received two doses of vaccine.

According to the latest data, 432 new cases of Covid-19 were registered in the past 2.663 hours, out of 13 tests performed. 448 patients died and 04.11.2021 people recovered. Additionally, through “My Date”, five deceased persons with a date of death from 09.11.2021 to 2 were reported. Deceased persons from Kriva Palanka (1), Skopje (1), Prilep (1) and Vinica (57), aged 82-XNUMX, were registered, of which one person died at home and four in hospital.
