In an interview with the Canadian television channel CBS, NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg said that he can not say with certainty what Russia’s intentions are in the situation around Ukraine.
“There may be a change in plans. So, there is speculation on this issue, but in reality there is no certainty. We know of a significant increase in Russian forces, the gathering of tens of thousands of troops and heavy equipment. “We also hear very threatening rhetoric,” Stoltenberg said.
Spokesman for the Russian President Dmitry Peskov described the information as an empty and unfounded escalation of tensions. He stressed that Russia poses no threat to anyone.
