NATO Secretary General Jens Stoltenberg will participate in a Crimea Platform summit, due to be held online this year on August 23. According to Ukrinform, the military alliance said this in a press release.
“On 23 August 2022, the NATO Secretary General, Mr. Jens Stoltenberg, will participate in the Second Summit of the Crimea Platform (online),” NATO said.
The Crimea Platform is a new international consultation and coordination format set up to develop the initiative put forward by the President of Ukraine in August 2021 to streamline all Crimea-related issues. The goal of the format is to work out practical approaches to draw attention to the situation in Crimea and discuss the possibilities for returning the peninsula to Ukraine’s control.
