Stoltenberg: A session of the NATO-Russia Council will be held on January 12

 I have scheduled the NATO-Russia Council meeting on 12 January to discuss European security issues, in particular the situation in and around Ukraine, and issues related to media and information literacy, reciprocal transparency and risk reduction activities, a meaningful program for dialogue in the interest of all of us, announced on Twitter, the Secretary General of the Alliance, Jens Stoltenberg.

He stressed that NATO would never compromise with Russia on Ukraine’s right to “choose its own path” and aspire to membership in the Alliance. as and the right of NATO countries to defend other members of the North Atlantic Treaty Organization.

 

 

On January 7, NATO foreign ministers will have a virtual meeting to discuss Russia’s demands and European security issues.

On January 12-13, Brussels will host a meeting of the NATO Military Committee at the level of General Staffs of the Allies
