NEWS OF THE DAY: The European Union is donating 4 million euros, and the US through USAID 1.1 million dollars
The Ministry of Health today expressed deep gratitude to all the companies, individuals, organizations, institutions, embassies, which with donations in equipment, goods and funds are giving support to the efforts of the health care institutions in dealing with the situation with COVID-19 in the country.
We especially extend gratitude for the confirmed donation of the European Union in the amount of 4 million euros and the US for donating 1.1 million US Dollars, through USAID, for dealing with the coronavirus.
The donations in equipment and goods for the Ministry of Health include medical equipment for the needs of the Clinic for Infectious Diseases, the Clinic for Children’s Diseases, as well as for other health care institutions, consisting of the following equipment: mechanical ventilation devices, X-Ray machines, bronchoscope, respirators, infusiomatics, ECG devices, defibrillators, suction machines, patient monitors for invasive pressure measurements, X-ray batteries, laboratory apparatus, oxygen masks, pulse oximeters, corona testing kits, air purifiers, a significant quantity of medical protective goggles, face shields, medical suits, necessary drugs and medicines, consumables, as well as non-medical equipment and other needs primarily at the Clinic for Infectious Diseases – vehicles, washing machines, dryers, hot water heaters, beds, towels, bedding, cosmetic products, water, software application.
Some of the materials and devices have already arrived, and some have been ordered from the donors and are expected to arrive next week to the Clinic for Infectious Diseases and other locations according to the needs. In addition to the equipment and goods, funds in the amount of 59.300.000 denars have arrived on the earmarked account of the Ministry of Health as donations.
STATEMENT OF THE DAY: Angelovska: The measure 14.500 denars salary per employee refers to all companies affected by the coronavirus crisis, as well as to sole proprietors.

The Ministry of Health informs that 46 new cases positive for coronavirus gave been registered in the past 24 hours. By cities as follows: Skopje – 12, Kumanovo – 13, Prilep – 8, Tetovo -1, Struga – 2, Veles – 8, Kocani – 1, Probistip – 1.
“This brings the total number of patients diagnosed with COVID-19 to 663”, announced the Ministry.

Farmers will be able to perform their work obligations on their agriculture land during the ban on movement without obtaining a permit, informed the MOI today. The ban on movement in the period from 7pm to 8pm from Monday to Friday and from 11am to 1pm during weekends will not apply to persons with disabilities and persons accompanying them.

In 2019, the Ombudsman has acted on a total of 4.705 complaints, of which 3.453 from the reporting period, and the remaining 1.252 have been transferred from the previous year. The President of the Republic of North Macedonia, Stevo Pendarovski, today visited the Laboratory of Virology and Molecular Diagnostics at the Institute for Public Health.
