The state award for lifetime achievement in the field of science and education was given to philologist and professor Atanas Vangelov. In the field of culture and arts, the award was given to academic painter Pavle Kuzmanovski, actress Bedia Begova and political scientist Mahim Nesimi.
The Board for the state award “11 October” is composed of a president and 12 members, who announce a call and decide on the award. This year the call was open August 6 – 31.
The award is given for outstanding achievements in the fields of science, art, economy, and other areas of public interest.
