Public speculation about petrol tubes, pyrotechnics and so on only harms the investigation, does not help. “As far as I know, these are not petrol tubes that could be the cause of the accident,” Interior Minister Oliver Spasovski told Bulgarian BTV.
He added that he “deeply believes” in Bulgaria’s investigative bodies.
– We leave the investigation to establish all the facts and of course the most relevant data should come from the state authorities of Bulgaria. We need to determine the cause of the accident, whether it is a human factor or some technical omission of the vehicle, said Spasovski.
Minister Spasovski pointed out that the Customs Administration has been undertaking activities since yesterday in terms of clearing the procedures, where two customs officers have been suspended and disciplinary responsibility has been exercised for the manager.
– A detailed investigation and criminal responsibility is needed for everyone who participated in such actions, adds Spasovski.
