Shooting, “bullet in the head” and “people’s court” – some of the threats to the lives of Xhabir Deralla and CIVIL’s team
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

The death threats against the President of CIVIL, Xhabir Deralla continue. On a post of a link to a text on a CIVIL press conference on election monitoring on the Facebook profile of Novatv.mk, from the profile “Maja Vrljkovic” the following comment was written:

“In these conditions, one can only talk about a bullet in Deralla’s head”.

In another post where the report from CIVIL’s election monitoring was presented, the profile “Toni Monevski” commented: “Those from CIVIL should be brought before a people’s partisan court like in 1945. They are greek-ballistic northerners, only life imprisonment for traitors”.

The profile “Ilija Lazarov” comments: “You are sowing poison, hate is a small word for you, everything you do is pure vomit, you have no measure!”.

The Facebook page Kicevo posted a collage of the “traitors” with the message “We will shoot you all”.

Among the “traitors to be shot” are: President of the country Stevo Pendarovski, SDSM leader Dimitar Kovacevski, DUI top people Ali Ahmeti, Talat Xhaferi and Artan Grubi, US Ambassador Angela Aggeler, Ukrainian President Volodomyr Zelensky, as well as CIVIL activists Xhabir Deralla and Dehran Muratov and others.

The page was created by a political party, namely, on April 20, 2011 it was named Sdsm Kicevo, on July 29, 2019, it was renamed SDSM Kicevo, and on July 25, 2023 it remained only Kicevo.

The Facebook page still has photos from rallies, gatherings and campaigns of SDSM.

In fact, the Facebook page Kicevo is administered and managed by the political party Levica. All posts are related to Levica’s activities.

Zoran Bogatinovski also created an album accompanied by the words: “Macedonian traitorous bitches, the Albanian spy of Pentagon and Krleusha from the Kale fortress shit themselves celebrating fascist Ukraine in Civil MK – the joke of the shabby American “democracy” in Macedonia.

The “traitorous album” includes CIVIL activist Dragan Misev as well as Frontline columnist Nenad Jovanovic.

Also, the so-called journalist (showman) Milenko Nedelkovski, after returning, after boasting himself on social media, Russia and the territories under Russian occupation in Ukraine, a strong campaign started against Xhabir Deralla and CIVIL.

“Xhabir Serala did you go to the funeral”, writes Nedelkovski posting photos from the grave of the deceased political prisoner, Russian opposition leader Alexei Navalny and a photo from CIVIL’s protest in front of the Russian Embassy in Skopje, where they sent a letter of protest on the occasion of the death of the Russian fighter for democracy and human rights, Navalny.

Milenko Nedelkovski in the show on his YouTube channel titled “Fact-checking the fact-checkers” expressed a series of hate speech and discrediting remarks towards his colleagues from Metamorphosis, concluding that “the mastermind behind the entire operation of fact-checking is actually Xhabir Deralla from CIVIL”. In another show he dedicated an “entire analysis” to the work of Deralla and CIVIL (Media), certainly using hate speech and complete untruths. But he didn’t fail to “make a wish” that if (the opposition) VMRO-DPMNE comes to power following the elections on May 8, that he would “deal with CIVIL”.

“Elections are nearing, restrictions on Facebook are multiplying! Xhabir Serala you’ll eat it unwashed” writes Nedelkovski on his Х profile.

These are just some of Nedelkovski’s posts aimed at Deralla and CIVIL.

“The public should know that not only anonymous trolls and troll armies participate in the dirty campaign with insults, discrediting, slander, hatred and threats, but also people with a name and last name, among which also well-known propagandists (journalists, intellectuals and others) and political leaders and senior party officials.

Among them, of course, hidden, are also members of the security structures in the country, but also from abroad, a colorful bunch…, writes Xhabir Deralla in his column ”Fear is their weapon. Our arsenal is much bigger and stronger”.

The attempts for intimidation, discreditation and hate speech aimed at Deralla and members of CIVIL’s team coming from high-ranking political representatives and their party obedients, are a real threat to the lives of the CIVILs.

CIVIL urges the competent institutions to take legal actions to protect the lives of the colleagues.
