A clean environment is an appeal that is made every day by environmentalists, institutions and mostly by citizens who have great awareness on the protection of nature and the environment in which they live in.
However, when seeking the one to blame for all the pollution we are struggling with, all the illegal landfills and the basic everyday throwing of garbage right next to the trash cans, Ajdin Sherifi, who comes from Cair and works for the communal enterprise, says that all the filth is our own fault.
“As soon as we finish one action, let’s say for the cleaning of illegal landfills, not a day or two will pass until you see the same picture as previously. We put up completely new trash cans, and had an action for cleaning up the area where they stand. In two or three days it will be the same again. And who’s fault is it? It’s our fault. We need to be aware that we really cannot throw garbage and all kind of stuff everywhere around. There is a place and there are conditions where to throw things, and we need to use the benefits that have been given to us”, says Sherifi. The statement of Ajdin Sherifi is part of the project “Action – Integration” that CIVIL is implementing in partnership with the Heinrich Bὅll Foundation from Germany.
