Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jagoda Shahpaska met Tuesday with UNICEF Representative Patrizia Di Giovanni, discussing current and future projects and bilateral cooperation.
“Care for the children is a priority for the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy and cooperation with UNICEF as an organization protecting children’s rights at a global level is very significant,” said Minister Shahpaska.
The meeting tackled the challenges posed by the coronavirus pandemic and change in the functioning of institutions and society in general, the Ministry of Labor and Social Policy said in a press release.
Shahpaska said cooperation with UNICEF is of enormous significance regarding the opportunities for use of global practices and setting the highest standards in the best interest of the child.
In light of the Children’s Day-November 20 and the 30th anniversary from the entry of the Convention on the Rights of the Child into force, discussions also referred to the joint observance of this day in our country.
