The COVID-19 situation in kindergartens is stable. Recently, there was a single new case registered among employees and none among children, Minister of Labor and Social Policy Jagoda Shahpaska told reporters on Wednesday.
If the epidemiological situation remains stable, she added, officials will discuss lifting protocols.
“We’re being careful and will discuss when to restore classes to their original size. We’ve amended protocols to merge several classes in order for the staff to use their vacation days,” Minister Shahpaska said during the opening of a new kindergarten in Shuto Orizari.
The decision to fully reopen kindergartens will be made in line with the position of the Commission for Infectious Diseases.
“I think this will happen very soon if the situation in North Macedonia remains stable,” Shahpaska stressed.
