The epidemiological situation in kindergartens is stable. Observance of the health safety measures has prevented the COVID-19 spread. Last Friday, 8 children and 34 kindergarten employees were positive for COVID-19, Minister of Labour and Social Policy Jagoda Shahpaska said on Thursday.
She said that the situation is stable based on all previous data after reopening of kindergartens.
“Compared to previous weeks when 58 positive coronavirus cases were registered, now this number is halved. The situation is stable. The spread of the infection among children in kindergartens has not existed so far and the numbers correspond to the overall epidemiological situation in the country,” Shahpaska said after overseeing the construction of kindergarten in Drachevo.
This shows that by respecting the protocols and recommendations prepared by the Commission for Infectious Diseases, the situation in the kindergartens can be maintained stable, she underlined, adding that at the moment, kindergartens can accommodate 7,500 children.
