This month, CIVIL has a rich and busy agenda. Among the numerous activities, in addition to those already held, CIVIL is organizing five debates by the end of May.
Four panel discussions will be held within the project “European Perspectives” which CIVIL is implementing with the support of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Federal Republic of Germany from April 1 this year.
The project brings together several components, one of which is entitled “From declarations to reality, participation in policy making and promotion of European values, multiculturalism and non-discrimination. Part of the activities in that component refer to the implementation of the strategy “One society for all”.
Here is the plan:
The next CIVIL debate is scheduled to take place on May 18 (Tuesday), and it will be about interethnic relations in a social and political context.
Furthermore, on May 20 (Thursday) there will be a panel discussion on multiculturalism and European values in the media.
CIVIL will hold a panel discussion on May 26 (Wednesday), where participants will debate on the topic of multicultural society from the Ohrid Framework Agreement to date.
The agenda of CIVIL in the project “European Perspectives” includes an evening online panel discussion on how society deals with disinformation and hybrid threats, which will include the aspect of Russian influence in the media and society.
CIVIL in March launched the Initiative “Make a Difference: Respect Diversity”, which includes several phases and segments of promoting diversity as an extremely valuable social value of our multicultural region. As part of this Initiative, panel discussions and other public events are planned.
Thus, CIVIL will organize a panel discussion on the social responsibility of intellectuals and artists in promoting diversity and European values, on May 21 (Friday), in Skopje.
The Make a Difference: Respect for Diversity initiative is supported by the Ministry of Foreign and European Affairs of the Grand Duchy of Luxembourg.
All events will be held without an audience, according to Covid-19 protection protocols, and participants will be able to choose between physical and online presence.
The events will be broadcast live on the Facebook page and on the CIVIL video channel, and then a series of media contents will be published on the media platform CIVIL MEDIA, in Macedonian, Albanian and English.
