The Serbian government at its Tuesday’s session adopted a decision to ban the export of raw and pasteurized milk, except for the Republic of North Macedonia and the Republic of Albania, in order to prevent milk shortages and regulate market supply, MIA’s Belgrade correspondent reported.
The government of Serbia also amended the regulation on limiting the price of basic foodstuffs until September 30, by setting a new maximum retail price of milk. 2.8 percent fat UHT milk will cost 128.99 dinars (1.1 euro) per liter, starting today.
The maximum trading margin for all types of UHT milk is also changing and is being reduced from 12 to five percent, the government of Serbia said in a press release.
The government of Serbia continues to closely monitor the situation and will provide sufficient milk supplies, the press release reads.
