ALMAKOS: Alphabet, name, transcription
“Ahead of celebrating ‘November 22 –Albanian Alphabet Day’, and in the midst of debates on opening the Constitution, in the foreground about the reasonableness of including the Bulgarians in the Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia, the topicality of the issue of removing the numerical terms related to the Albanian language is once again imposed.
Here, two important moments need to be mentioned regarding the Day of the Alphabet and the Constitution of the RNM.
The first moment: From November 14 – November 22, 1908, an academic conference for standardization of the Albanian alphabet was held in Bitola, since before the Congress the Albanian language was represented with six or more alphabets, not including the sub-variants. The second moment: The Constitution of the Republic of North Macedonia of 1991, which often was detected as a generator of crises, but also with the latest amendments to the Constitution – when the name of the country was changed, didn’t improve discrimination when it comes to the Albanians, and the fact that the Albanian language remained defined with the term ’20 percent’”, is written in the column of SejdiDemiri“Alphabet, name, transcription”.
TOP CHANNEL: What is wrong with the course of the Durres port project
The main topic on the political scene in Albania these days was the controversial project for the Durres port, accompanied with numerous debates and questions. The Durres port is the biggest one in Albania and among the most important on the Adriatic and Aegean Sea.
“As of 2015, Albania has a law on strategic investments and since then about 30 statuses of strategic investors in the area of tourism have been granted. Not one of these investors has received transfer of ownership for one euro for 99 years, but not eternal ownership as well” – is said among other things in the debate show “Top story” of Top Channel, Albania.
“The investment it is making in the project field is not at the levels said to be 2.2 billion euros… if we take a look at the financial tables, we will see that for the first seven years the company will put up 161 million euros, where 80 million are its own, and 80 are intended to be received from banking institutions. If we calculate this, we come to 23 million euros annually. The remaining money will be collected by selling the apartments” – outlined the participants in “Top story”.
