The Guardian: Russia is inflaming tensions in Serbia as the war in Ukraine falters
“The EU-US all agree that barricades should be removed. But they also worried how this might be used and abused by Belgrade.
I think that the worry of our western partners and friends is the links of Belgrade with Moscow. We do not know how they could be rendered operative in case of rising of tensions, towards escalation in the north”, says Kosovo Prime Minister Albin Kurti in the interview for “The Guardian”.
Our worry is that removal of these barricades cannot exclude casualties. And that’s why we want to be as careful as possible to make sure that there will be no destabilization and relative peace and security will be in place. However, we cannot allow this violation of lawfulness and constitutionality forever. So, yes, this must end, sooner the better”, saidKurti in the interview for “The Guardian”.
Kurti, among else, says in the interview that he is concerned the tense situation could escalate to the advantage of Vladimir Putin, as Russian and Serbian forces have conducted 104 joint military exercises in 2021.
PANORAMA: Erdoganism like food for Ramism or Berishism
“During his time (of rule), which includes our last two prime ministers, Erdogan has participated in inaugurations of important works in Albania, and at one time Berisha, and now Rama, made Ankara their home. Berisha says that the long telephone conversation in 2012 broke the relationship between them, Rama continues, and even often takes the liberty to say and express himself about matters in defense of Erdogan in the institutions, where he was supposed to be much more withdrawn and in protocol”, an excerpt of the column „ “Erdoganism, like food for Ramism or Berishism” , by Ben Andoni, published in the Albanian portal Panorama.
KOHA: One life and one truth
“Kosovo owes Latinka Perovic more than respect and remembrance. Her work deserves attention, reading and care even among Albanians. She ranks among Serbian humanists such as Dimitrije Tucovic and Kosta Novakovic, who not only criticized the atrocious crimes of the Serbs against the Albanians more than a century ago, but also advocated for good neighborliness between the Serbs and Albanians. Latinka Perovic also belongs to this tradition”, an excerpt from the column “One life and one truth” by Enver Robeli published in KOHA.
