KOHA: New barricades in the north of Kosovo

Two new barricades have been set up in the north of Kosovo, one in Severna Mitrovica and one in Zvecan, in the place known as Kershi and Duda, confirmed the Kosovo Police for Radio Free Europe, report Kosovo media.

The barricade in Severna Mitrovica is located at the intersection of the Technical School, said the police.

This location is near the Bosniac neighborhood, which is multiethnic, where Albanians, Serbs and Bosniacs live, while the road where the barricade is set up is one of the roads that connects Severna and Juzna Mitrovica.

BalkanWeb – Serbia places soldiers on alert due to increased tensions

The Serbian army says that it is on the “highest level of alert” following the several weeks of escalation of tensions between Serbia and Kosovo, is said by BBC, report Kosovo media.

Serbian President Aleksandar Vucic said he would “take all measures to protect our people and to preserve Serbia”.

The rattling of the sword is louder than ever and follows the claims of the media that Pristina is preparing an “attack” on areas of ethnic Serbs in northern Kosovo.

The government in Pristina did not comment these allegations.

KDP: “Will there be early elections in 2023?”

“Will the government be forced to accept the offer of the opposition – vote for constitutional changes after announcing early elections?

All that will depend on the length of the screening process. This process, launched in July this year, means a detailed analyses of each policy area (chapter), in order to determine how well the country is prepared”, an excerpt of the column „Will there be early elections in 2023 “ by Xhelal Neziri in KDP.

PANORAMA: Edi Rama is also responsible for the continuous policy and provocation of Belgrade

The Prime Minister of our country, Edi Rama, who supported Belgrade’s initiatives, giving it domination in the region, is also responsible for Serbia’s provocative policy. He added that the vagueness of official Tirana hasn’t served in strengthening Kosovo’s position, but has put it under unnecessary pressure to become part of the Open Balkan initiative”, said Ilir Meta, reports the Albanian portal  PANORAMA.

SHENJA: “The Schengen goes down to the Western Balkans”

“The borders of the European Union go down to the Balkan countries based on the principles it is announcing and that are based on the commitments and reforms undertaken by each country. In the specific case, Croatia was accepted with complete unanimity, whereas Bulgaria and Romania were again blocked from entry, although both countries have been waiting for a green light since 2011, when their first application for entering Schengen was rejected by France, Germany, Finland, Sweden, The Netherlands and Belgium”, an excerpt of the column ”The Schengen goes down to the Western Balkans“ by Pelumb Nako.
