Albanian language media in the region today are dominated by the situation with the barricades in the north of Kosovo and the predictions for the coming year as to the possible escalation of the situation. So far, only one of the three barricades has been removed, the one in Merdare, whereas the two border crossing points Jarinje and Brnjak are closed. According to the Director of the Belgrade Centre for International and Security Affairs, Igor Novakovic, he doesn’t expect an agreement to be reached between Serbia and Kosovo neither next year.
