Tensions continue in the Albanian Parliament, so far 23 MPs from the opposition have been excluded, and the leader of the Democrats, Sali Berisha, announces that the revolution will enter a new phase before May 14, when the elections are to be held in Albania. A video has appeared on social media in which a Montenegrin police officer commits brutal violence against an Albanian citizen, academician Petraq Milo. The police of Montenegro state that an investigation into the violence has started. Below are several more topics from today’s selection of CIVIL Media’s Editorial Office from Albanian media in the region.

With the latest punishments, the number of MPs from the opposition who have received disciplinary measures within a month has risen to 23”, reports Albanian daily Syri.

TV KLAN – Berisha: The revolution is entering a new phase

“Protests and preparations for a victory in the local elections on May 14. These will be the paths of the opposition revolution for overthrowing Rama’s government. They were announced by the President of the Democratic Party, Sali Berisha, at the meeting of the National Council of DP. According to him, the revolution has entered a new phase”, reports Albanian media outlet TV Klan.

“INSTAT data on the indicator “Health and social work activities” reveal that the income of this category in 2021 in Albania reached almost 41 billion lek or 350 million euros, which is a historical record”, reports Albanian media Shekulli.

GAZETA EXPRESS: In the process Thaci and others, 84 new victims have been admitted

EPOKA E RE: Instead of personal comfort, Hashim Thaci chose the historical confrontation

“Today, when we are celebrating the 15th anniversary of independence, my friend, you are in The Hague. Don’t forget that you are there in confrontation between civilization and the wilderness of the East. You are there because of one reason only – because you defeated Serbia. There in front of you, you will have a file with thousands of pages of written accusations presented by Serbian judges and prosecutors in Belgrade, and unfortunately, by some Albanians who are still working for that murderous regime”, an excerpt from the column “Instead of personal comfort, Hashim Thaci chose the historical confrontation”, by author Izmi Zeka, published in the Kosovo daily Epoka E Re.
