The Minister of Defense Radmila Sekerinska today along with representatives of the General Staff and the Army and representatives of the Embassy of the United States will be visiting Krivolak military range and will inspect the reconstruction activities that are being carried out at several locations in the landfill.
According to the Ministry of Defense, with investments in road infrastructure, facilities, renovation of training ranges, the Krivolak Army Range gets a new, modernized and modern look.
– In 2022, seven international exercises will be held at the Krivolak range – with the participation of 5200 members of the Allied armies, as well as the Army of Northern Macedonia. The largest among them is the exercise SWIFT RESPONSE – 22, in which the participation of about 4000 participants from the armies of the USA, UK, Italy, France, Montenegro, Albania and Northern Macedonia has been announced, the statement said.
The relevant ministry reminds that the reconstruction of AP “Krivolak” started in 2020. Work has been done and active work is being done on preserving the existing and establishing new road infrastructure, and in this period buildings, sanitary facilities and treatment plants are being built, reconstructed and repaired. In the following period, procurement of 32 new containers for accommodation is planned, which will increase the accommodation capacity of the landfill.
The members of the Engineering Battalion, in the past period, as it is stated, worked independently on digging new roads for the construction of the bypass of the Krivolak test site, but also on the reconstruction of the existing infrastructure and internal connection in order to ensure complete road connection of the test site. total length of 75 km.
– With the support of the 15th US Army Engineering Battalion, the Army Engineering Battalion last year worked on the construction of new facilities, moving and stationary targets for armored vehicles, a runway for drones, a target storage depot, “in order for this resource of ours to become a recognizable NATO resource for training and coaching,” said in a statement from the Ministry of Defense.
