The SEEU Faculty of Law team, comprised of outstanding students Stefani Stojchevska, Argona Kuçi, and Flutura Xhemaili, under the leadership of Prof. Dr. Vedije Ratkoceri and with the support of Prof. Dr. Adnan Jashari, who is also the Dean of the Faculty of Law, participated in the international competition ‘Nuremberg Moot Court 2024’ held in Nuremberg, Germany from July 24-27, 2024.
Around 200 universities from around the world participated in this prestigious competition, of which only 40 qualified for the oral phase, including the SEEU team.
After two successful rounds where the team faced universities from Nebraska, USA and Tehran, Iran, they successfully advanced to the third phase of the competition, qualifying among the top 16 universities continuing in the competition.
The ‘Nuremberg Moot Court’ is a traditional competition organized in Nuremberg, held at the Palace of Justice – the historic Courtroom 600 where the Nazi trials were conducted after World War II at the Nuremberg Tribunal.
In these competitions, participating teams prepare a simulated case of international crime before the International Criminal Court and represent the prosecution and/or defense before a professional jury composed mainly of judges and prosecutors from the International Criminal Court and International Tribunals.
This achievement, qualifying among the top 16 best universities in the world, demonstrates the quality and dedication that the SEEU Faculty of Law has towards preparing students to face competitive challenges of this caliber.
